SICAM-AGRI is a subsidiary of SICAM founded in 2017 with a team of 40 agricultural engineers supervising, guiding and advising farmers throughout the year. Harvest control is ensured by financing and providing farmers with seeds, equipment and know-how. A partnership contract is drawn up each year with the farmers for a cultivation area of around 5,000 hectares spread over the entire Tunisian territory.

SICAM-AGRI manages the relationship between SICAM and farmers: tomato, peppers and fruits.

FRESHNESS AS A QUALITY CRITERION

The coordination of SICAM-AGRI ensures perfect time management between picking and processing.

When the fruit is ripe, full of flavors and vitamins, it is freshly picked and immediately transported to the SICAM site where it will be washed, sorted, prepared and very quickly packaged without using any preservative or chemical coloring.

Our tomatoes, peppers and fruits are grown in the best conditions. They are picked at maturity at the heart of the season and throughout the year in the best Tunisian regions. But that’s not all!

WITH THE DUTY OF SAFETY

Unwavering attention is paid to each stage of product development.

On arrival at the site, SICAM performs a sorting to select the tomatoes and for monitoring and traceability by sophisticated equipment called “samplers”. Quality controls are carried out throughout the chain, from the raw material to the finished product. 1000 control analysis reports carried out per day during the transformation campaign.

Preservation is ensured by a process of pasteurization, sterilization by heating then sudden cooling, all without any addition of preservatives.
